Mandatory “Black Boxes” to be Installed in All New Cars

Who needs a speed camera when your car will just alert the local police when you’ve been allegedly exceeding the speed limit?
The US Auto industry, which is gasping for air as we speak, has just been given a mandate by the Federal Gov’t which may finally kill it.
This is a great reason to never buy a new car in the US again, or at least until this mandate goes away.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration or NHTSA is requiring all new passenger vehicles sold within the US to have these little data recording devices which have multiple revenue raising uses for municipalities, such as fines for speeding, not wearing a seatbelt or even mileage taxes.
Just when you thought you knew all the ways to avoid automated ticketing, our friends at the NHTSA roll out another one.
Better take care of that used auto you’re driving around, just in case you prefer not to have your every movement tracked by a government black box.
